Outdoor Wilderness Camps
YMCA Day Camp Gathering Pines is an all-day camp program in Lakeville with various Camp Options in Summer 2025. Camp is open to students entering PreK-9th grade. Multiple Bus locations available including 2 stops in Edina. Extended before/after care is an option for an additional fee.

Junior Volunteer Program applications are due Dec 31 of each year. Interviews occur around February with training starting in spring/summer.
Opportunities to help sort food and prepare if for distribution for families. (ages 9-15 with adult, 16+ independently). Complete the Youth Application. 3 hours shifts available Mon-Fri (8:15am; 11:15pm: 2:15pm)
Help unpack, tag and hang some great fashion finds! Volunteers are needed to help stock the store with all the best fashions, accessories and with the comforts of home.(Ages 13+ with adult)
Help prepare and serve meals to guests. Locations available throughout the twin cities. Reserve your volunteer spot online. Individual and group opportunities available.
Youth Sports Physicals
7th-12th graders who participate in school sports are required to have a sports physical every three years. Schedule a Sports Physical with your Pediatrician or call for an appointment at upcoming Sports Physical clinic. You cannot tryout or play on team until your physical is complete.

TCO IS OFFERING FREE HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS PHYSICALS 2025 dates TBA (July /August)
Our Twin Cities metro area & western Wisconsin high school sports physicals are available at 12 locations throughout July and August. All exams are completed by primary care sports medicine physicians and orthopedic surgeons. Athletic Trainers will review each student athlete’s history prior to seeing the physicians. 5:00- 8:00 PM appointments are required.

Available to eligible households who qualify for Community Ed Financial Aid Application or children who are enrolled in the ELC on Scholarship during the 2024-25 & 2025-26 school year. Res

Frequently Asked Questions
When can I register? Summer Go Time Scholarship Forms will be accepted starting Feb 3 and awarded until all funds are exhausted. You will receive an email confirmation from Community when the registration is finalized.
I need help completing the form: If you need assistance completing forms or planning your child’s summer schedule, please call or email Krista for an appointment. Appointments are strongly recommended Feb 4-14 or plan to come to the Summer Activities Expo Feb 6.
How much can I get? Up to $550 may be requested and awarded per eligible K-12 Student. Funding is limited and not guaranteed. You are responsible to pay the difference for any additional camps you would like to register for this summer
Can I request camps now and add more later? Funding is not held or guaranteed for later add-ons. If you request an additional camp, assistance granted would depend on if funding was still available at the time of your request. Funding is limited and not guaranteed.
Do I need to request funds from Edina Give and Go?
No, the Summer Go Time will take of it for you to help you quickly get registered and access scholarship funds from both Community Ed and Edina Give and Go. Any funds awarded will count toward your maximum award provided from both Community Ed and Edina Give and Go.
Can I use this scholarship other places? Summer Go Time is only good for Community Ed Enrichment. You will need to work directly with Edina Give and Go to request funds with a different organization.
Can I change my camp selections? Yes, please let us know if you would like to remove and/or switch to a different camp. We will do our best to help find a camp with openings. Changes made less than one week prior to the start of camp will count towards your scholarship maximum.
What camps are available? Edina Community Ed-- Summer Enrichment Camps & Classes is offering over 500 summer camps/classes for youth between June 2-Aug 14. Camps run 4 day, Mon-Thurs, 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm and some evening. Camps will be held at SVMS, ECC, EHS and online from home. Summer 2025 Catalog now online!
What is a wait list? Each camp can only have a certain number of students participate due to staff ratios and room size. If the camp is full, we will keep a list of names of people interested on the wait list. If a spot becomes available, you will be contacted to confirm if you would like to register your child into that camp. We can
I need care all-day in the summer? You could select a morning and afternoon camp with a lunch bunch in between if the camps are all at one location. Your child would be a camp 9am-4pm. If you need care all-day, all summer, we recommend registering for KIDS Club which provides care option 7am-4:30pm or 7am-5:30pm Monday-Friday.
Can I use Summer Go Time for Kids club fees? No. if you need help with the cost of Summer KIDS Club fees, please review their financial assistance
KIDS Club/Childcare Assistance (CCAP)
MN Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP)
CCAP provide financial assistance to help eligible families working, going to school or job searching cover child care expenses for children 13 years of age and under. Child Care must be with an approved provider.
Start by calling Hennepin County at 612-348-5937 to determine if you may be eligible. The county will work either send you an application, add you to the wait list or inform you why you are not eligible at this time. Applications are processed within 30 days. If you live in a different county, contact your county human service department.

Edina Give and Go
Provides scholarship grants for Edina Public School students to participate in academic, arts and athletic opportunities. Families must demonstrate need by being within 200% of poverty level for their family size. Students may request up to $500 for summer activities.
Note: Any funds used with Edina Community Ed [Summer Go Time 2025] will count towards a students funding max of $500 from Give and Go. Please complete the Summer Go Time Application (coming by Feb 1) to register for a Community Ed summer class.

Camp Fire Minnesota is a day camp located in Excelsior, MN (Hwy 5 & Hwy 41) with opportunities for ages 5-14 as well as leadership development opportunities for teens. Regular camp and specialty camps are available including overnight camp. Camp Hours: 8:30am-4:30pm. Parents are responsible for getting kids to and from camp.

YMCA Day Camp Gathering Pines 2025- DUE Feb 21

Gathering Pines, is all-day camp program in Lakeville with various Camp Options in Summer 2025. Camp is open to students entering PreK-9th grade. A bus from Edina is available to take students to and from camp.A special scholarship for current Edina Students enrolled in grades K-7 will be made available to attend YMCA Day Camp Gathering Pines. Applications will be accepted until all spots are filled, or Feb 21, whichever comes first. A limited number of spots are available. Eligibility is based on 200% of Poverty income guidelines. If you are a Y-member and already on a YMCA scholarship, you are not eligible and should register for camp directly through the Y. Family Fee is $25.00 There is an option for a 4-day camp experience the week of June 30-July 3. The family fee for this camp is $20

Scholarship is made possible in partnership with Edina Give and Go and the YMCA.Tips:
- Apply early. Spots are extremely limited and available first-come. If you would like to provide your second choice backup you may.
- The family is asked to make a contribution towards the camp fee which is due with the application. You can provide a check, credit card or cash with your application.
- Be sure to have the registration form completely filled out, including 1 signature on page 4 and 2 signatures on page 5.
- Immunization information may be listed on page 3 or you can attach a recent immunization. Immunizations records can be accessed in your Campus Portal.
