Information & Applications for 2026 : Program Full

• 2026 YMCA Summer of Opportunity Application

If you are a Y-member and already on a YMCA scholarship, you are not eligible and should register for camp directly through the YMCA. 

• Apply early. Spots are extremely limited and available first-come. If you would like to provide your second choice backup you may.
• The family is asked to make a contribution towards the camp fee which is due with the application. You can provide a check, credit card or cash with your application.
• Be sure to have the registration form completely filled out,  including 1 signature on page 4 and 2 signatures on page 5. 
• Immunization information may be listed on page 4 or you can attach a recent immunization report. Immunizations records can be accessed in your Campus Portal.  
• Bring your completed application to Edina Resource Center (ERC):

To apply: 

1. Complete the online  2025-26 Enrichment Financial Aid Application to determine eligibility.
   • If you have already been approved this school year, do not apply again, go directly to step 3.
2. Complete your camp requests using the Summer Go Time 2026 Form    Forma De Registro 2026 
   • Please include all  your camp selections on one registration per child.  Funding is not held for later camps add-ons and camp additions would depend on if funding was still available at the time of your request. Only page 2 needs to be submitted. 

 4.  Email completed forms to Krista.Phillips@edinaschools.org.

PRESCHOOL SUMMER SCHOLARSHIP (ages 3-5)
Available to eligible households who qualify for Community Ed Financial Aid  or children who are enrolled in the ELC on Scholarship during the 2025-26 & 2026-27 school year.  

Review and complete the Preschool Summer Scholarship Form for details. Restrictions apply. Funding is limited. Forms will be accepted starting Feb 2.  

*If you have a child starting Kindergarten in Fall 2026, please complete the Summer Go Time Form

Frequently Asked Questions

When can I register? Summer Go Time Scholarship Forms will be accepted starting Feb 2 and awarded until all funds are exhausted. You will receive an email confirmation  from Community when the registration is finalized.

I need help completing the form: If you need assistance completing forms or planning your child’s summer schedule, please call or email Krista. Appointments are strongly recommended Feb 2-13. 

How much can I get? Up to $550 may be requested and awarded per eligible K-12 Student. Funding is limited and not guaranteed. You are responsible to pay the difference for any additional camps you would like to register for this summer

Can I request camps now and add more later? Funding is not held or guaranteed for later add-ons. If you request an additional camp, assistance granted would depend on if funding was still available at the time of your request. Funding is limited and not guaranteed.

Do I need to request funds from Edina Give and Go?

No, the Summer Go Time will take care of it for you to help you quickly get registered and access scholarship funds from both Community Ed and Edina Give and Go. Any funds awarded will count toward your maximum award provided from both Community Ed and Edina Give and Go.

Can I use this scholarship other places? Summer Go Time is only good for Edina Community Ed Summer Enrichment Camp/Classes. You will need to work directly with Edina Give and Go to request funding to participate with a different organization.

Can I change my camp selections? Yes, please let us know if you would like to remove and/or switch to a different camp. We will do our best to help find a camp with openings. Changes made less than one week prior to the start of camp will count towards your scholarship maximum.

What camps are available? Edina Community Ed-- Summer Enrichment Camps & Classes is offering over 500 summer camps/classes for youth between June 1-Aug 14. Camps run 4 day, Mon-Thurs, 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm and some evening. Camps will be held at SVMS, ECC, EHS and online from home. 

What is a wait list? Each camp can only have a certain number of students participate due to staff ratios and room size. If the camp is full, we will keep a list of names of people interested on the wait list. If a spot becomes available, you will be contacted to confirm if you would like to register your child into that camp. We can

I need care all-day in the summer? You could select a morning and afternoon camp with a lunch bunch in between if the camps are all at one location. Your child would be a camp 9am-4pm. If you need care all-day, all summer, we recommend registering for KIDS Club which provides care option 7am-5:00pm or 7am-6:00pm Monday-Friday.

Can I use Summer Go Time for Kids club fees? No.If you need help with the cost of Summer KIDS Club fees, please review KID's Club financial assistance

MN Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP)

CCAP  provide financial assistance to help eligible families working, going to school or job searching cover child care expenses for children 13 years of age and under.   Child Care must be with an approved provider.

Start by calling Hennepin County at 612-348-5937 to determine if you may be eligible. The county will work either send you an application, add you to the wait list or inform you why you are not eligible at this time. Applications are processed within 30 days.   If you live in a different county, contact your county human service department.

Edina KIDS Club and Southdale YMCA accepts Child Care Assistance payments (CCAP)

KIDS Club will work with families who are on the waitlist for CCAP and have a verified letter stating they are on the waitlist. If applying for Child Care Assistance is a barrier or you are on the waitlist for CCAP please complete the KIDS Financial Aid Form for assistance.

Edina Give and Go

Provides scholarship grants for Edina Public School students to participate in academic, arts and athletic opportunities.  Families must demonstrate need by being within 200% of poverty level for their family size.   Students may request up to $500 for summer activities.

Note: Any funds used with Edina Community Ed [Summer Go Time 2026]  will count towards a students funding max of $500 from Give and Go.  Please complete the Summer Go Time Application (coming by Feb 1) to register for a Community Ed summer class.

Edina Connect Card

Assists students in Edina  to access various scholarships to participate in community activities including:

• City of Edina Park and Recreation. Up to $300 per Family per year (good for registration, memberships, season passes (pool), community gardens or special events

Participants must qualify for Connect Benefits, which fall in line with the Federal Standards for Free or Reduced price meals, or they must have a financial hardship that prevents full payment of a program fee, and must live and/or go to school in Edina

Three Rivers Park District offers a Recreation Pass Plus   for Hennepin County Residents.  The Pass good May 1- June 30,

You may apply at  anytime and use pass to register online for programs.    you will need to provide proof of participation in one of the following programs:   FRL, MFIP, MA, SSI, EMA, HCEAP MNCare, RCA, SNAP, WIC, or WB

Camp Fire Minnesota is a day camp located in Excelsior, MN (Hwy 5 & Hwy 41) with opportunities for ages 5-14 as well as leadership development opportunities for teens.  Regular camp and specialty camps are available including overnight camp. Camp Hours:  8:30am-4:30pm.  Parents are responsible for getting kids to and from camp.

Summer Academic Enrichment Program for grades 3-11

Minnesota Afterschool Advance (MAA)

MAA helps eligible families pay for academic based afterschool or summer programs as well as musical lessons and tutoring services that are taught by a “qualified instructor.” Please learn about the program on their website to find out  if you are eligible and how it works with your MN K-12 Education Credit.
