Hennepin Shelter Hotline serves Hennepin County residents who are seeking emergency shelter by helping them find a safe, temporary place to stay while they work on next steps toward stable housing. A person or family should contact Hennepin Shelter Hotline if: They are 18 years or older & They are seeking emergency shelter
8am-9pm Monday-Friday. **callers outside of these hours will be directed to United Way’s 2-1-1

A person should visit the Youth Services Network website if:
- They are 24 years or younger
- They don’t have a safe place to sleep tonight
Financial Resources
VEAP Rental Assistance— Applications open the 28th of each month.
VEAP works with households who:
• Live in Bloomington, Edina, Richfield or South Minneapolis zip codes 55410, 55417, and 55419
• Applicants must meet program guidelines for income and expenses
• Have lost income (from employment, self-employment, or any other source) or had an unexpected expense that resulted in financial crisis
Households are eligible irrespective of immigration or documentation status.
If you are out of VEAP’s service area, please contact United Way or your county of residency.
