Enthusiastic people are needed for important youth development work. Have fun and shape the future, too!

Rec Leader positions with Edina KIDS Club/WISE Guys after school care program are available at each elementary school. Shifts are available between 2-6 pm, Monday-Friday, beginning August 27, 2018.

No experience necessary beyond a sincere desire to make a difference in the lives of young people.

Edina Reads presents a Veteran’s Day Program:   Women in the U.S. Military

Monday November 12
6:30 PM – 8:30
Hughes Pavilion at Centennial Lakes

Edina Reads Committee will bring to life the contributions of women to the US Military in a special program in honor of Veteran’s Day. Moderated by Lonni Skrentner, former president of LWVE and retired history teacher, the panel includes two WWII participants (Agnes Danzl and Margaret Melrose), one participant from the Korean War (Colleen Crew), one from Vietnam (Mary Samuels) and one active service member who has served in the Persian Gulf region (Meredith Benson Doran).  Each service member will have some time to share their memories and there will be time for audience questions.

Edina High School- Registration opens July 9! 

Edina Community Ed Fall Classes will be available starting August 1st. Catelogs will be mailed to residents in Edina, additional copies will be at the Edina Community Center.   Information will be available online.


Science Museum Admission Discount

The Edina Resource Center has partnered with Science Museum of Minnesota to offer admission discounts to eligible families.  The Discount Coupon allows the admission rate to be $3.00 Permanent Exhibits; $4.00 Omnitheater; $5.00 Exhibits and Omnitheater. Coupons are resusable.  www.smm.org

To receive a Discount Coupon bring in your photo id and one of the following documents to the Edina Resource Center**

  • EBT card
  • Medical assistance card (includes MinnesotaCare)
  • Section 8 document
  • WIC folder
  • Supplemental Security Income verification
  • Social Security Disability Benefits verification
  • Free/reduced school meal approval
  • RCA card (Refugee Cash Assistance)
  • General Assistance verification
