The Edina Resource Center is your connection to community resources, services and information in Edina, Minnesota. It serves anyone who lives, works or goes to school in Edina and is a collaborative effort between the City of Edina, Edina Public Schools, and the local community.

Office Closed Feb. 20, 2019

Due to the extreme weather, the Edina Resource Center will be closed on Wednesday, February 20, 2019.*  All Edina Public School buildings, including the Edina Community Center will be closed today.  visit www.edinaschools.org for more information.

Please look through common resources and email contact@edinaresourcecenter.com with any specific needs/requests.   Summer Scholarships will be processed when we reopen on Thursday.  Thank you for understanding.

*The Edina Resource Center is a program within Edina Community Education.  When Edina Schools close for holidays and weather, Edina Community Education and the Edina Resource Center are also closed.

Pedaling for Parkinson’s
Southdale YMCA  Tuesdays & Thursdays  11:45am-12:45pm

This is a cycling program that aims to improve the lives of those living with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers.
Space is limited- free to members and non-members. Must be over 30 and diagnosed with Idiopathic Parkinson’s disease. Register at membership services desk.

Energy Assistance

Both homeowners and renters may be eligible for energy assistance. Eligibility is based on gross income for a 3 month period (at the time application).  Applications are accepted Oct 2018-May 30, 2019.   For an online application or  Energy Assistance Office locations visit  caphennepin.org

Science Museum Admission Discount

The Edina Resource Center has partnered with Science Museum of Minnesota to offer admission discounts to eligible families.  The Discount Coupon allows the admission rate to be $3.00 Permanent Exhibits; $4.00 Omnitheater; $5.00 Exhibits and Omnitheater. Coupons are resusable.  www.smm.org

To receive a Discount Coupon bring in your photo id and one of the following documents to the Edina Resource Center**

  • EBT card
  • Medical assistance card (includes MinnesotaCare)
  • Section 8 document
  • WIC folder
  • Supplemental Security Income verification
  • Social Security Disability Benefits verification
  • Free/reduced school meal approval
  • RCA card (Refugee Cash Assistance)
